Stewards of Change Institute (SOCI) is proud to announce that our primary initiative, the National Interoperability Collaborative (NIC), has received three Silver awards from the 2019 International Davey Awards. This prestigious competition “honors the best in Web, Design, Video, Advertising, Mobile, and Social from small agencies worldwide.”
The three Silver Awards went to the NIC Collaboration Hub in the categories of Health and Health Services, Non-profit, and Community.
The Davey Awards are “the largest and most prestigious awards competition exclusively for the ‘Davids’ of creativity,” according to the awards website, which explains: “David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock – the sort of thing small agencies do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the ‘Creative Davids’ who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.”
Winning entries for the Davey Awards were selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), which oversees all judging and maps the strategic direction for the Davey Awards program. The AIVA is a membership-based organization of leading professionals from diverse disciplines of the visual arts who are dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. AIVA members include executives from organizations such as Condé Nast, Disney, GE, Microsoft, Monster.com, MTV, Sesame Workshops, The Marketing Store, Yahoo!, and many more.
“I’m extremely grateful and proud that we’ve won these awards,” says Daniel Stein, President of Stewards of Change Institute and Principal Investigator for NIC. “We know our team produces top-notch work, so it’s gratifying to see that excellence validated by such an important body as the AIVA.”
About the Stewards of Change Institute (SOCI): Stewards of Change Institute (SOCI) is a unique not-for-profit think tank and advocacy/ implementation organization. It is built on the foundational belief that responsible, systemic information-sharing is the key to achieving enduring advancements in the health and well-being of children, adults and communities. SOCI’s mission is to improve lives by initiating, inspiring and implementing transformational change in health, human services and related domains at all levels of government, industry, and the nonprofit sector.
About the NIC Collaboration Hub: SOCI conceived the Hub for the same reasons it created the broader NIC “community of networks” about a year earlier: to provide the online (Hub) and on-the-ground (NIC) means for thought leaders, policy-makers, practitioners, and other professionals to share knowledge and work together for tangible, systemic progress in ways they hadn’t before. That goes for advances in their own organizations and fields and, most critically, across the multiple sectors that need to routinely communicate to make sustainable, enduring improvements in everyone’s health and well-being, especially those among us who are most underserved.
